To call Turkey, you have to dial
+90 before the area code.
For example: If the telephone number
is (212) 222 22 22
you dial +90 (212) 222 22 22
Telephone Public telephones have
three different systems : Phonecards,
tokens and credit cards. Phonecards
and tokens are sold at Turkish Telecom
offices. Tokens are called "jeton"
in Turkish. Phone cards are in 3 different
capacity. All over Turkey, phone numbers
consist of two sections; area code
(3 digits) and the number itself (7
digits). During weekdays from 18:00
to 06:00 and on weekends calls are
cheaper.

Post Offices
|
All post offices in Turkey bear the
yellow "PTT " or "Telekom"
sign. Larger and central offices are
open from 08:00-24:00.

Internet
|
In most of the cities in Turkey,
there are several internet cafes,
especially in touristic areas.
